My son does not stops playing with his Thomas, but soon he found more interesting stuff when connected to laptop.(Little animations)Only down side is he finished all the sheets and now demanding more games. :)

An excellent toy, but shame it was so short lived.

I bought this for my 3 year old with all the extra software, having researched thoroughly what other products vTech had to offer this seemed the one with the most range and educational benefits....it worked fine for 4 months of occasional use, but after this time it started failing to recognise the sheets, much to my dissapointment because it was a fantastic toy when it did work and worth every penny. I tried to send it back to the supplier on amazon, but they said that the warranty they provided was only for 3 months. Vtech said they have discontinued the product and can only replace it with something else. disappointed

i purchased this product online for my 3yr old for xmas,was disappointed when i tested it out,it didnt recognize half the sheets,and it kept saying the wrong titles for most of the other half,obviously i saw this as a bad one off purchase so i went and got another from the actual shop instead of online-and was soooooo happy when i put the sheet in and it recognized it,BUT then,i went to press onto a pic and found that the pen didnt work,as i still had the other wiz kid at the time,i tried the pen from that one,BUT NO,still no joy,it has put me right off the product now,im going to send them both back and look for something else,good luck if you purchase one of these that actually works,i am giving up!!!!!!!!0 people voted this review as helpful and 1 people voted this review as unhelpful.

I have never written a review but had to for this item. I bought it based on the previous reviews for my daughter who is 2 and a half and she plays with it constantly. there are lots of different activities and although at times she struggles with the pens - with parental help she is solving lots of the puzzles and keeps coming back to it to play some more. we have not attached it yet to a computer but even on its own it is fab and so portable that it will be our number one toy for holidays. we also got the dora add on pack which again is brilliant although the puzzles are slighly harder than the standard pack. brilliant item love it!1 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Kept kids amused for hours

I'm very glad I bought this from Amazon for my nephew, he's been fascinated by it and it keeps him busy on his own for a while, especially with the various cards I bought as extras, enabling the interaction to be kept varied. This is an excellent learning toy. My little girl who has just turned 3 is thrilled with it, and though a lot of the sheets are a bit too advanced for her, there is sufficient mix to keep her occupied both now and in a year or two's time.You basically get 40 activity sheets (actually 20, but they are double-sided) and you place the sheet in the "computer" as my little one calls it. You then have a series of activities to do, and stories to listen to. The first few sheets suit younger kids and the latter suit older kids, so there is plenty of longevity in this.
You can also download extra content over the internet, and connect it to a PC with the supplied USB cable, though we have yet to try this.
Finally, there are a series of add-ons, like Bob The Builder, Postman Pat etc, which can be bought separately, so this should keep your little one happy for ages.
Don't be put off by the one star somebody else gave this. If you get a duff version of ANY product and can't be bothered to get it replaced, why bother writing a review?

What a buy!!!

I seen this on sale before christmas at a bargain price at £12.99, having purchased it 3 weeks before at tesco. I soon had ordered it and took the other back to tesco. I am so glad that I bought this at that price. It is well worth the money. My 3 yr old loves it - he is for ever playing it linked up 2 my laptop. This is one christmas pressie that he hasnt just tossed aside cos he got bored!!! I find it very educational and would recommend to all. Was a steal for £15

Bought it from Amazon during xmas time at a great bargain price. Haven't seen any issues so far apart from the batteries which ran out rather quickly as supplied ones were not alkaline. Its further more interactive when console is connected to computer. Only seen Wondertown games so far. Dora, Thomas, Bob the builder etc each game is available on additional £15 but may be worth having depending on your kid's interest. The toy itself is amazing. Superb Toy

Bought this for my 3 yr old Daugher when it was on special for £13 on amazon. Actually bought 4 of them and glad I did. She loves it and the fact you can download extra sheets from the internet etc make it great value. My 3 yr old is on it all the time and I like the fact it has a headphone socket...
