Better graphic will be nice

Martina Seremet - 3 out of 5.

I have expected much better picture resolution from this toy. Everything else is very good but graphic and resolution (on big plasma TV) ware totally disappointment.

Got this for my pre school daughter. It is educational and fun, she especially loves singing along with her microphone. Very pleased we bought her this. Quick delivery aswell.

VTech V.Smile Pink Bundled with Dora the Explorer

C. Thornton from Liverpool, England - 5 out of 5.

Ordered consul on Sunday 6 December and this arrived on the Thursday 10 December, very happy with time scales of delivery. Well packaged so no chance of damage in post.
The Dora games are excellent, my 4 year old daughter who we bought this for loves Dora and got to grips with each of the games straight away.
I can see lots of fun and time spent on this, as it is educational I don't mind how much but it will be limited.
Excellent choice for her main birthday present.

Great games, not great for messy kids

J. Pigott from Vacaville, CA United States - 4 out of 5.

My daughter is now almost 4 and loves the games on this system. Unfortunately, the system does not start up properly a lot of times - and we have to plug/unplug it several times before it finally starts up. This is very disappointing, as this system is only a year and a half old. That being said, I can't decide if the problem is the system, or my messy girl who may or may not have spilled something in the game slot... So, I will give it five marks for being a good system, but only three for durability.

3 year old loves it!

Lou12:51 from Scotland - 5 out of 5.

Got this for my daughter on her third birthday in Septmeber '08. She loves it. Well worth the £40 I paid for it.

The controller is just a perfect design for little hands and can actually be adjusted for left handers. Nice big, colourful buttons and the "pen" which you have to use for some parts of games, eg drawing shapes and letters.

The console also has a mic for singing the songs that are included on some games. And it has a handy on and off button and can be stored away in a little compartment on the console or placed on the little holder on the side. There's also space for storing about 8 games.

An adaptor isn't included, which really should be. Luckily we had one at home and I also buy rechargeable batteries and usually have some spare. If you do use batteries, then I would suggest rechargeables for this. I have to replace them every couple of weeks, but it depends how long it's been played with.

The console is very educational, so I don't worry about my daughter playing with this. The Dora game has shape, colour, number and letter games on it. My daughter did find parts of the Dora game hard at first, but she now completes the whole game by herself. As long as you leave the cartridge plugged in, the game can be saved and continued later.

My daughter also plays a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse game on the console as well and this game is also educational. We got her the art studio for xmas and she loves "drawing" pictures on that.

Her 4 year old friend got one of these after playing with our daughters and loving it. She brings her own controller when visiting, so they can both play 2 players.

lots of fun for them and peace for you

tortoisepetal from little island - 5 out of 5.

My 3-year-old daughter loves this game and console which are durable, easy to use and lots of fun. the graphics are pretty good for a kid's game and the dora game provides good educational opportunities. my kid would like to be able to play on her dad's playstation, which is just too tricky for her and could be expensive if she breaks it. this is perfect because it's her 'grown up' toy and she's learning something while she's using it. and i get the chance to get stuff done for half an hour while it holds her attention. only thing missing is the 9v adaptor which has to be bought separately.

good 1st console

mum of 3, N. E. lincs - 5 out of 5.

Bought this for my daughters 3rd birthday. She finds the controls easy to use and enjoys the game that comes with it. Only downside is that it does not come with a mains adapter and needs 4 aa batteries. We have played on it several times and the batteries are still ok.
