Your child is developing fast. As early as 2 weeks, your child will be paying attention to your face. The first 12 months of your babyís life is where he will develop his motor skills. At 3 to 6 years, your child is about ready to go to school. At this stage, he is able to listen attentively to age appropriate stories such as stories with riddles. You can help nurture his creativity by giving him building blocks to play with, puzzles and clay. You can also introduce numbers and the alphabet to prepare him for school. Encourage him to draw by giving him crayons and pencils. Books with colourful pictures are perfect for children at this stage.
As your child grows, it is very important that you are there to continuously guide and encourage him to excel without putting too much pressure. Make activities and learning games fun so he will not get bored. Learning doesnít end in books, encourage him to explore his surrounding and enjoy while learning. This will set the right foundation for your child as he prepares himself to gain more knowledge in school and develop healthy study habits.
