VTech Kidizoom Plus Multimedia Digital Camera (Blue) Reviews
vtech kidizoom camera
Mrs. C. Carton from Ireland - 5 out of 5.
Bought this for my daughter for her fifth birthday. She loves it, she loves the games and its seems fairly indestructible so far. I bought the bag too which is great, but mostly it gets chucked on the floor. You can turn the sound down so you don't have to listen to the irritating game music. The quality of the pics is not great but as they mostly chop your head off or take pics of the floor its doesn't really matter! Just so long as she leaves my camera alone!0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.

Snap happy
Norfolk Nanny - 5 out of 5.
This is a great toy - provides lots of fun at the basic level with potential for growth and learning at the next stage: downloading to a computer. My grandson, 3.5 years, loved this at Christmas and was able to see real 'snaps' on his own camera. Even my grand-daughter who is only 1.5 years has the hang of it. Is is durable? Well, with those two fighting over it, I would definitely say yes! I have no hesitation in recommending this product.1 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Smiles all round
Ms. Kristena Woolford from uk - 5 out of 5.
My 3 year old had this for her birthday and I will say after shopping around I found this one to be the best price on the market. Its a good little camera and she loves taking pictures on it, although she's no expert yet? She loves the fact that she can be just like Mum and Dad taking pictures and loading them on the computer to print out. Then when she gets bored of taking pictures (as 3 year olds do) she can play on the games instead ( stopped lots of arguments over her big sister's DS!!) So smiles all round. Highly recommended.1 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Perfect for little photographers!
G. Crook from UK - 5 out of 5.
I bought this for our 4 year old and she loves it! It takes great photos, even with just the 2.0 megapixels. The SD card slot is handy to have, but we've never needed it as you can get loads of photos and videos on the internal memory. The games on it are good too, although the screen is a little small, but the little ones don't seem to mind. Controls are simple and easy to find your way around, our daughter had it mastered in under a couple of hours. By far the best bit though is how tough it is. Our 1 year old got hold of it and threw it down the stairs, not only was it fine, but he'd pressed record first, so we got a great action video out of it!1 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
vtech kidizoom digital camera
David Peter Dean - 5 out of 5.
Absolutely fantastic, my 4 year old daughter can't put it down and is a proper little David Bailey!!! She loves it and takes great photos, she loves the frames and stamps she can use plus the fact she can put herself or her daddy or mummy as the dancer in one of the five games. Being able to see her photos or the film she took on the tv or edit them with great ease on the computer makes her feel so grown up, and best of all it means our digtal camera is now safe!!!0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Wicked!
Smiffystuff from England - 4 out of 5.
I look after young children and take pictures of them as they achieve new things. Obviously they want to copy me, but with the youngest being 14 months I am careful with my own camera. I purchased one of these after hearing mixed reviews from friends but am pleasantly surprised. Although the camera does not take the most'amazing' pictures in my view it is more than adaquate for little ones who are really chuffed with it, they love that they can take loads of pictures and video each other and I'm not standing over them to ensure the camera is safe. Well worth it if you little ones want to take pictures and enjoy the process, the pics also look great on the PC and the transfer is simple, the manipulation software is also great fun, have not played the games on it yet, but they look fun if thats what you want from a camera - great introduction to ICT.VTech Kidizoom Camera Plus (Blue)0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Well worth the money
Kat Howe from UK - 5 out of 5.
I purchased this as a christmas present for my 6 year old and 3 year old. I was a bit reluctant to spend this much money on the item but Amozon was the cheapest and all the shops had sold out and christmas was approaching fast.Anyway the camera is very strong and just the right size for little hands, my 6 year old can play all the games and look back at the pictures with ease but the 3 year old hasn't mastered that but is happy to take the pictures.
I was very surprised to see the kids had taken just over 1000 pictures with no need for an extra memory card.
We have not linked it to the tv or put the pictures on the computer yet but so far very impressed..
Pictures are good quality and we have giggled lots when looking back at the pictures they have taken.

3 megapixel, but still dissappointing
Ms. F. Schmidt - 4 out of 5.
I bought this for our playgroup, yes the kids love it, yes is simple to work, but! this is obviously the newer model (and i am cross the sell the older one for more money still, without any comment!!!! )and has got 3 megapixel, but the picture quality is poor, probably down to the lens and the light. my children were dissappointed after downloading them onto pc as they are used to our pics....However, i think this is worth bying for smaller children (playgroup 2.5 - 4 yrs) but for my 5 year old son i will by a "cheap" adult camera as he is able to handle that responsibly and gets good pics out of it.
one other thing, which i think could turn into a problem: the different connectors (usb, card slot) are hidden under litlle "rubber" lids, one of which is positioned in such a way, that it opens very easily just from using the camera and could fall off very soon....

Also a Great gift for a younger child
Gerry's thoughts - 5 out of 5.
As his older sister has a similar camera, we decided to buy this for our boy for Christmas. He's only three years old, but loves it. It is so easy to use that in next to no time he was taking pictures and enjoying the several games that come in built. With help, he now knows how to edit and 'enhance' the photos using the included software and the camera appears to be robust. This version has better light capturing and flash than the previous model, so I have no hesitation in recommending it as being suitable for an inquisitive child of similar age or older. I'm sure they'll get as much pleasure out of it as our son has.7 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
neepshed
neepshed - 5 out of 5.
My six year old daughter received this for her birthday. She picked up how to use it very easily and has had great fun taking photos of her family & friends. She's used it to make videos and fun elements like face stretching are excellent. It's been dropped several times with no adverse affects!3 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.

Great first camera
alice3276 from UK - 5 out of 5.
Very pleased with this camera. Ours is the newer model Kidizoom plus. Both my children (age 6 and 3) are loving it. It works fine with rechargeable batteries (we are using 4 x Energizer rechargeable 2450mA ones). We haven't needed to look at the instructions - it is very easy to use. Some tips to prolong battery life: turn off the sound; turn off effects whilst reviewing photos; insert an SD card and save all photos to there - then just insert the SD card into a slot on your PC if it has one. That way you don't waste battery transferring photos. Icons and controls are similar enough to a "grown up" camera to make it a great way of learning the basics of digital photography.11 people voted this review as helpful and 1 people voted this review as unhelpful.
point and click
mac fiend from uk - 5 out of 5.
Bought this for my 3yo this Christmas. He loved taking photos using my camera and my mobile or indeed any camera he could get his hands on so it seemed obvious to buy him his own. Initially put off by the price of this but having considered the cheap digital camera option decided he's only three, let him have some fun.Am delighted with it, read lots of reviews so wasn't worried about the quality of images just want him to be confident to click away at what he wants. If any turn out to be printable that's great, if not he's had fun using it. It also features some games and lots of different effects that he is still discovering and enjoying and that is all that matters. He has other toys for educational needs etc but this teaches him sociability i.e he is not shy to ask someone to pose and smile, it also helps with coordination, composition etc etc and it really is great that he can drop it and so far it is still in one piece.
He's not the official family photographer yet but in time I suspect he will be! Then he can move onto a more 'grown-up' camera.

My Nephew loves it
Dani Soul from London - 4 out of 5.
Bought this for my Nephew's 4th Birthday. He picked up how to use it very quickly. A little disappointed with the quality of the photos on the screen, not that he noticed at all. He loves it. Very efficient delivery1 people voted this review as helpful and 1 people voted this review as unhelpful.
