this item should be supplied with the VTech smile, not as an add on its stupid having to buy one as an extra. What are they thinking of selling something that isnt portable powered by batteries ?

Rip off

advised to buy this with the learning laptop and its not compatible so i was wrongly advised

when purchasing the learning laptop it said that most purchases of this item were sold with the adaptor,and i thought great but there is nowhere on the laptop for it to fit so therefore i have bought a useless piece of equipment

Vtech Power Adaptor

9v Power adaptor for a VTech smart system, needed to use system on the mains electricity. very good cheaper then E-Bay. Its a pity that VTech does not supply this as standard to what is an expensive toy. The system has to be conected to the TV so is not portable, but the only option you have when you unpack it is batteries (not supplied). And you cant use a universal adaptor as the plug is none standard.

VTech 9V Adaptor

My star ratings are low because it is not a toy but an adaotor for a tv console, the adaptor does the job it says it does therefore from that point of view is fine. Amazon was the cheapest place I could find this product online or on the highstreet. The product was delivered within the expected time frame.

when i bought this i didn't realize i could get an alternative that would work with the v smile pocket. i don't know why i decided to read the reviews after purchase rather than before but i'm surprised to see so many negative reviews as we've had no problems with this product and my son can now play his v smile pocket without those pesky dead battery interuptions.

I did read the other reviews on this item before purchasing the VTech Smile Adapter but took the chance anyway. I received the VTech Smile Adapter very quickly and had no problems with it once in use. When I unwrapped the Adapter, it did feel extremely cold as it was delivered during the snow we had recently so I allowed it to get to room temperature before I plugged it in. It works fine and my son now happily plays with his VTech Smile Pocket!

Rubbish

Bought this because we got sick of batteries running out mid-game.

Came throught the post and we plugged it in switched the game on...nothing tried a new power socket again, nothing.

Doesn't work, sending it back and going to buy a cheap universal adaptor as suggested in other review.

Well why bother paying this much?

Why would you purchase this adaptor at this price? I popped down to my local pound shop and picked up a multi adaptor, took it home flicked the switch to 9v and there you go power for a pound.
